The clothing in indie music videos is usually casual and is not usually formal. In my final music video i have made sure that i stick to this convention as i feel like this one should be stuck too as it links in with the band itself and how the band is and not just in the music video. Theses are screen shots of my music video clothing.

Question 1
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
As the genre in which my music video falls into is indie music i had to keep to the codes and conventions that are typically assosiated with this genre. As i researched into it, they usually have live performances of the band playing. My music video is different to this as although they are playing, it is not a live performance as usually they are at gigs. That would give the audience a feel for what that band is like and how natural they are with their music. Also having them at a live performance it gives the audience a feel of actually being at a gig and usually when people who are interested in music think of gigs, they are enjoyable, so it would bring joy to them. Therefore my music video challenges the usual conventions in an indie music video. Here is an example of a real music video with a live performance

of the band but it did not have an audience.

Ancillary Task 2 Poster
this is my finished music poster. i used Photoshop to make this poster. the tools i used are the same as the ones i used in my digipack where i used a magnetic lasso tool, cropping and the magic wand tool to get rid of the background of the image which i have kept the same as my digipack and my poster

Digipack Progress
this is the start of my digipack where ive only done the front cover of it
this is my cd digipack before i have added the main image onto it. for my main image i am taking a photo of graffiti on a wall and then adding the graffti onto my digipack.
this is my main image for the digipack and will also be used on my poster for the main image
while making my digipack i have used different tools within Photoshop itself. to get rid of the background for the main image as i only wanted the graffti i used the magic wand tool to select the parts that i did not want so i could delete them and the image to have a clear background. i also cropped the image as it was too big for the digipack and the poster. i also used the magnetic lasso tool to also get rid of the background which is unwanted in my digipack.
